Wine rack containing three bottles of home made apple wine. Rowan wood, rope, plaster, glass bottles. 300x150cm, 2021
The wine rack incorporates two parallell narratives around wine making, one is ot be seen in the plaster foundations, resembling cave formations as a connection to Areni-1, a cave system in Armenia where archeologists have found the earliest location for organised wine making, dating back 6.000 years. The other one is the use of rowan wood, as a direct connection to the traditional use of rowan berries in Sweden as an ingredient in fruit and flower wines to help with the acidity.
